NOT APPEARING is a groundbreaking rock festival with a zero tolerance policy on the safe, the hyped and the bland. Every year NOT APPEARING presents a staggering line up of sizzeling hot names, all reved up and raring to go. NOT APPEARING loves the underdog, the groundbreaker and the cocky new kids in "the zone".

NOT APPEARING is the sort of event that really doesn’t happen that often, in fact NOT APPEARING never happens at all. For The NOT APPEARING FESTIVAL is a non event, just a list of names. It is created as a mirror for the ROSKILDE FESTIVAL who for several years now have presented a program that falls way short of the rock'n'roll edge. For us, it’s a fun thing to put together and it keeps our musical ears to the ground, and we can only hope that we can inspire Roskilde Festival to keep up the good search for new alternative sounds and boldy go where NOT APPEARING went before them, for no better reason than “playing it safe” is a drag.
